Getting Started

EcoWash is equipped with:

• two 18KG washing machines (numbers 10 and 11 as visible on the machine with black numbers on blue background)
• one 14Kg washing machine (number 12 as visible on the machine with black number on blue background)
• three dryers (numbers 1, 2 and 3 as visible on the machine with black numbers on green background)

The cost of a single wash is:

• €8 for the 18Kg washing machine (numbers 10 and 11 as visible on the machine with black numbers on blue background)
• €7 for the 14Kg washing machine (number 12 as visible on the machine with black number on blue background)

The cost of a 12-minute drying cycle is €2.50 for any of the three dryers (numbers 1, 2 and 3 as visible on the machine with black numbers on green background)

The automatic cash register accepts coins and €5, €10 and €20 banknotes and gives change. The automatic cash register does NOT accept payment cards

To start a wash proceed as follows:

• Insert the laundry inside the selected washing machine
• Close the door by pressing on the handle to ensure closure
• Insert money into the cash register and check the credit on the display
• Press the button with the number corresponding to the selected washing machine (10, 11 or 12)
• Collect any change from the coin slot
• On the display of the selected washing machine select the desired wash temperature
• Press START and wait for the machine to calculate the necessary wash time

DO NOT insert detergent products, the washing machines automatically provide soap, softener and sanitizer.

To start a drying cycle proceed as follows:

• Insert the laundry inside the selected dryer
• Close the door
• Insert money into the cash register and check the credit on the display
• Press the button with the number corresponding to the selected dryer (1, 2 or 3)
• To extend the drying time repeat the previous instruction to add 12 minutes at a time
• Collect any change from the coin slot
• On the dryer display verify that the number of drying minutes is as desired
• Select the desired drying temperature
• Press the start button
• The dryer can be opened during the drying process to inspect the laundry. The motor stops when the door is open but time continues to run

Step-by-Step Instructions

1Laundry Preparation

Tips on how to prepare laundry before washing:

• Separation by color:
  • Whites: Sheets, white towels, white t-shirts
  • Light colors: Pastel, beige, light grays
  • Dark colors: Blue, black, brown, dark red
  • Delicates: Silk, lace, garments with decorations

• Check pockets, empty pockets of:
  • Coins, keys, pens
  • Tissues
  • Tickets, receipts
  • Metal objects
• Possible pre-treatment of difficult and stubborn stains

2Loading the Machine

Before Putting in the Washing Machine:

• ✅ Do not overload - leave space for movement
• ✅ Close zips and buttons to protect fabrics
• ✅ Turn inside out jeans and colored garments
• ✅ Separate very dirty items from normal ones

Once the garments are inserted in the washing machine, press on the handle on the door to close it securely.

3Payment

For payment follow these steps:

• Insert banknotes or coins into the cash register. The cash register gives change. Alternatively insert the loyalty card into the appropriate slot.
• Verify that the credit shown on the display is correct and sufficient to select the desired washing machine
• Press the button corresponding to the number of the desired washing machine (visible in black on blue background on the machine itself)
• Collect any change

4Program Selection

Once you have selected the desired washing machine from the automatic cash register, set the appropriate wash temperature for the inserted laundry:

• Cold:30°C for delicate items
• Medium: 50°C for mixed non-delicate items
• Hot: 70°C for resistant items and bathroom linen

5Starting the Cycle

Press the START button to start the cycle and wait a few seconds for the machine to complete the calculation of the time needed for the wash cycle. Our washing machines calculate time based on the type of wash and weight. The time may vary slightly during washing.

Drying Instructions

The following two steps describe how to proceed to start the drying cycle

6Transferring laundry to the dryer

Transfer the laundry into a dryer following these precautions:

• insert one item at a time spreading it so that it does not have folds or wrappings
• do not overload the dryer - leave space for movement

When all the laundry has been transferred, close the dryer door.

7Payment

For payment follow these steps:

• Insert banknotes or coins into the cash register. The cash register gives change. Alternatively insert the loyalty card into the appropriate slot.
• Verify that the credit shown on the display is correct and sufficient to select at least one drying cycle
• Press the button corresponding to the number of the desired dryer (visible in black on green background on the machine itself)
• To add an additional 12 minutes of drying repeat the previous instruction
• Collect any change

8Temperature selection and starting the drying cycle

To start the dryer proceed as follows:

• On the dryer display verify that the number of drying minutes is as desired and paid for
• Select the desired drying temperature:
  • 30°C: for delicate items
  • 45°C: for mixed non-delicate items
  • 60°C for resistant items
  • 80°C: for resistant cotton items or bathroom linen
• Press the start button
• The dryer can be opened during the drying process to inspect the laundry. The motor stops when the door is open but time continues to run
